PAST AND PRESENT
Rebecca is the Founder of RISE Ministries, Inc.
She volunteered for various charity organizations such as The Sheltering Arms as a Telephone Reassurance volunteer.
Facilitated a Lupus Support Group for one of the branches in Northwest Houston, Under the direction of the Lupus Foundation of America, Gulf Coast Region, Houston, Texas.
Facilitated a Firm Foundation/First Step Bible Class at her church; She was also involved in the Prayer, Health and Wellness Ministries in the church.
Volunteered briefly for the KHCB Radio Station 105.7 FM as a By Request Telephone Answering volunteer.
She served as a member of the Board of Trustees for two years (1992 and 1993) in her previous church, (Airline United Methodist Church), Houston, Texas where she was a member and served God for nearly ten years. She had the opportunity to help teach bible study to young men and women at "Bethel House Ministry"
Ministered to poor and needy people around the Houston area (donating clothes and serving food).
She had a public Thanksgiving Service in her community and made her debut on November 13, 2005.
She is The Administrator/Creator of "Inspiring - Lupus & Autoimmune Group" In "Nextdoor" (Neighborhood Social Media Platform)
She participated in the Lupus Foundation of America 2022 Lupus Research Action Network (LRAN) training to share information and advocate the need for "Clinical Trials" for people with Lupus and other related illnesses and to increase diversity in Lupus Clinical Trials. In her training, she learned that Clinical Trials are important because it help Researchers and Doctors decide if the benefits of a particular medicine outweigh the side effects.
She is now a Lupus Research Action Network (LRAN) Advocate who is currently involved with The Lupus Foundation Of America, United States of America. She teaches people about what Lupus is, advocating for more clinical trials for advanced research to be done to combat the disease and other autoimmune health issues.
She had the opportunity to travel to many places, ministered to different people domestically, nationally and internationally.
